Fortaleza, March 28, 2024: The Intersolar Summit Brasil Nordeste presents data on industry growth and distributed generation prospects in the Northeast, highlighting its significance for Brazil's solar sector. Key speakers from ABSOLAR and Sindienergia-CE discuss the region's potential. The event, featuring 100 exhibitors and 5000m² space, connects stakeholders, addressing future strategies and innovations in solar technology. With over 500 delegates, the conference covers topics like DG evolution, centralized generation, renewable energy integration, green hydrogen, and energy storage advancements. The 4th edition of Intersolar Summit Nordeste brings together the renewable energy industry’s technology and business. It will be held at Centro de Eventos do Ceará on 10–11 April 2024.
The region’s most significant event for the energy industry, Intersolar Summit Brasil Nordeste will have a high-class first session on April 10 as the President of the Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy (ABSOLAR), Dr.Rodrigo Lopes Sauaia, and the President of the Association of Energy Producers and Electricity Service Providers of the State of Ceará (Sindienergia-CE), Luiz Carlos Queiroz, will debate on “The Evolution of Distributed Generation in the Brazilian Northeast”. Their two organisations have been playing an important role in increasing the region’s leverage.
The Northeast, whose distributed generation assets have reached 20% of the country’s capacity and is set to increase exponentially, is regarded as fundamental for the solar sector in Brazil. In addition to its natural conditions of high irradiation, the region may benefit from recent changes in legislation on DG. Furthermore, the opening of the Free Energy Market for all high voltage consumers, energy subscription and investment plants are factors which may galvanise the Northeast into an even more prominent position in DG.
Organised by Aranda Eventos & Congressos, in collaboration with Solar Promotion International from Germany, the Summit will feature discussions on strategies for the future of solar industry. The state of Ceará, with the 4th largest centralized generation output and 833.8 MW of installed capacity for distributed generation, emerges as one of the most promising Brazilian states. It has also shown remarkable potential to lead in green hydrogen production, with more than 30 Memorandums of Understanding already signed and several companies expecting to begin production as early as 2024.
Now in its 4th edition, it has become a fixture in Fortaleza's official calendar of events, Intersolar Summit Brasil Nordeste will feature 100 exhibitors in 5,000 m² and attract an expected 5,000+ visitors. Solar and renewable energy stakeholders will be able to network, learn more about the latest trends and innovations in solar technology, and connect with market-leading potential clients and suppliers.

Intersolar Summit Brasil Nordeste – The most successful solar event boosting Brazil’s Northeast’s PV business, takes place at the Centro de Eventos do Ceará in Fortaleza, Brazil, on April 10–11, 2024, and focuses on the areas of photovoltaics, PV production, solar thermal technologies as well as green hydrogen.
