Patrick Doyle is senior investment officer the IFC's Financial Institutions Group with over 20 years' experience in clean energy and climate finance. Prior to joining the IFC he developed and structured loans for distributed generation and energy efficiency projects in Brazil and other Latin American countries, and managed blended finance funds with both MGM Innova Capital and the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB). His core areas of expertise include solar DG, energy efficiency, and storage, which he has financed with equity, guarantees, and mezzanine and senior debt structures. He also has expertise on the carbon markets, having developed projects under both CDM and voluntary regimes. He holds an M.B.A. from The Wharton School, an M.A. from John Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Washington State.
