Professor and researcher at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), where he works on the development of technologies for photovoltaic inverters and battery storage systems, as well as grid connection technology. He is the Coordinator of the DER lab, a laboratory accredited by INMETRO for testing photovoltaic and related equipment. He collaborates with various regulatory agencies (INMETRO, ANEEL, ONS), industry associations, and the productive sector. He also collaborates in the development of technical standards, acting as the Brazilian coordinator of the IEC Technical Committee on Photovoltaic Systems, and on national standards committees for grid connection of PV systems.

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (UFSCar), Master's degree in Electrochemistry (Institute of Chemistry and Physics of São Carlos - USP), and an MBA in Business Management, she has worked at CPQD since 1989 in ASE-CPQD, developing studies and applications on batteries. Currently, her research focuses on advanced technologies for application in stationary energy storage systems and advanced batteries for electric vehicles. She is the secretary of the ABNT CB003:021.0001 Study Committee for the development of standards for Secondary Cells and Batteries, and also participates as a battery specialist in the Technical Committee - Electric and Hybrid Vehicles of SAE BRASIL and the ABNT CE003:069.001 Study Committee - Road and Industrial Electric Vehicles, also acting as secretary of GT-2 - Batteries for EVs of this committee. He has been involved in organizing several events in Brazil, such as CININTEL, SESIE, the International Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Show, the SAE Brazil Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Symposium, and internationally at MABIC (Metal Advanced Batteries International Congress). He has published articles and given presentations at major national and international events on batteries as well as some patents.
