This panel will discuss the financing tools and policy frameworks needed to unlock investment in structural projects for BESS in Brazil, including industrial hubs, domestic component manufacturing, green credit lines, storage-linked contracts, and public and private access to innovation grants.

Possui trajetória consolidada na área de fiscalização e regulação do setor elétrico, iniciada em abr/2007 com o ingresso na Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica - ANEEL. Mr. Francisco Maiello is the founder and regional coordinator for the state of Goiás at ABSOLAR. He also serves on the advisory board of BRASOL, a company specializing in investments in energy solutions in Brazil through the Energy as a Service (EaaS) model. BRASOL focuses on renewable energy, including solar power, energy storage, and grid infrastructure, and counts SFS (Siemens Financial Services) and the American fund BlackRock as key partners. With over 20 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, Francisco has been actively involved in the development of solar, energy storage, biogas, and hybrid energy projects. He has also contributed significantly to the implementation of off-grid solutions in the Legal Amazon region.

Mariana Galhardo is a Senior Partner at G2A Consultores. She has a degree in Business Administration from PUC Campinas, an MBA and a Master's degree from UNIFEI, as well as specializations in Project Management from FACAAMP and Government Relations from INSPER. She began her career in the financial market, working for institutions such as Itaú, Banco do Brasil (including working for the IDB) and Opportunity, always with a focus on new business. Since 2007, Mariana has worked in the energy industry, in all its segments (generation, commercialization, transmission and distribution), having contributed in leadership positions in companies such as Neoenergia (Elektro), Renova, Serena (Omega) and Alupar. In 2017, she opted for entrepreneurship, providing consultancy services to clients such as Grupo Ultragaz, the Ministry of Mines and Energy, the Ministry of Science and Technology, Eletrosul, Pronto Energy and Grupo Colibri, focusing on the analysis and development of new projects. Currently at G2A, as well as prospecting and leading due diligence projects, she coordinates ABSAE's Regulation Working Group (WG) and is vice-coordinator of Absolar's Storage WG.

Guilherme is the Energy Transition Intelligence Manager at BNDES's Energy Transition and Climate Change Division. He has participated in the design and implementation of incentive policies for the wind and solar energy industries in Brazil, working as an engineer in the Department of Industrial Chains and Suppliers. Previously to BNDES, he was an Energy Research Analyst at EPE, where he worked on renewable energy studies focused on wind, solar, and biomass. He also contributed to developing integrated resource optimization models for studies on expanding the Brazilian Energy Matrix. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, with an extension in Energy Planning and a post-graduate degree in Finance.

With 13 years of professional experience, he has worked on strategy projects in the Energy, Industry, Retail, Consumer Goods, Real Estate, Telecommunications, and Infrastructure sectors, in addition to participating in strategic due diligence for Private Equity and Venture Capital investments. In the electricity sector, his experience includes areas such as energy storage, trading in the Free Contracting Environment (ACL), and renewable energy generation. He recently held positions at Auren Energia, leading Strategic Planning and New Business, at UCB, as Business Development Manager for the lithium battery division, and at PowerHaus, as Project Manager in strategic consulting for energy and infrastructure. He holds a degree in Business Administration from FGV-EAESP and a Master's degree in Strategy and Innovation from the University of Oxford, England.
