The session will cover surge protective devices (SPDs)\, including their physical and electrical characteristics\, selection and sizing criteria\, and installation methods in string boxes and electrical distribution panels. It will also address fuses\, arc-fault circuit interrupters (AFCIs)\, and rapid shutdown devices (RSDs)\, which help protect PV installations against DC electrical fires and electric shock and should be used in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.
