Packed halls, high spirits among exhibitors and visitors and unbelievable record numbers: Intersolar South America sets a new benchmark

Sao Paulo, August 30, 2018: With more than 20,000 visitors –an incredible growth of 80% to 2017 - from 36 countries, the 6th Intersolar South America exhibition and conference closed its doors in Sao Paulo last week and once again proved that it is the Largest Exhibition and Conference for the South American Solar Industry. More than 260 international exhibitors attended the event, providing latest trends to industry specialists, investors, and project planers over the course of three days.

Latin America's solar markets, particularly Brazil’s domestic solar market, is experiencing rapid development due to the successful execution of various auctions over the past years. Favorable return on investment driven by lower CAPEX and reduced cost of capital has motivated thousands of installations. Remote and shared generation schemes boost the opportunity to create more scalable PV business models and bring new players into the game.

"We are overwhelmed by the outstanding resonance to our exhibition and conference. Intersolar South America has set itself as the must attend industry platform on the continent. The industry’s dynamic and the enormous visitor numbers underlines that Brazil is ready for the new topics we will show at The smarter E South America next year." Dr. Florian Wessendorf, managing director of Solar Promotion International and Daniel Strowitzki, CEO at Freiburg Management and Marketing International, the international organizers of Intersolar South America, jointly state.

“Sices Solar has exhibited at Intersolar South America since 2013. We have realized that the visitor quality has improved continuously every year. Today, visitors are looking for the latest up-dates in services, financing, insurance and cutting-edge technology. Since solar energy is a growing sector in Brazil Sices keeps going to invest in this segment and will be present with a much bigger booth at Intersolar South America next year”, said Leonardo Diniz – National manager of commercial expansion of Sices Solar.

More than 1,500 solar experts attended the Intersolar South America conference to discuss all aspects of solar technologies and analyze market opportunities and business models for the industry. Opportunities in decentralized and centralized markets, policies, innovations and financing were prominent topics of the conference.
