ENIE + ELETROTEC

ENIE (Electrical Installations Exhibition & Conference) has been for three decades the meeting point of professionals in the field of electrical installations for buildings and industry. In its 2016 edition, the event brought together 80 exhibitors, 600 conference attendees and over 11000 selected visitors. They are engineers, contractors, wholesalers of electrical equipment and components, end-users from a wide array of industrial branches, as well as power utilities and telecom services suppliers, among others.

The Brazilian electrical and electronics industry achieved in 2017 revenues of US$ 40 bn, growing 5% over 2016. The electronics segment, however, reported a robust increase of 20%. Items such as notebooks (+12%, ca. 3,4 mill. units sold) and smartphones (+21%, over 50 mill. units sold) indicate a clear recovery of the Brazilian economy, emerging from two years of recession.

The metropolis of São Paulo, whose state delivers about one third of Brazil’s GNP, enjoys a privileged location as the hometown to ENIE. The trade show and conference will showcase low and medium voltage installation technologies, energy efficiency and power quality, renewable energies, motors and drives, lightning protection, installations in hazardous locations (Ex), and lighting technology.

The 17th ENIE will take place in co-location with ELETROTEC, an exhibition focused on the infrastructure for electrical energy distribution, as well as the 6th Intersolar South America, the largest exhibition and conference for the solar industry in South America.
